the one thing i love about going away is the fact that you can be at a totally foreign land, not knowing anyone, and not having anyone know you. the taste of freedom is sweeter and more tempting than that of the forbidden fruit.
escapism – the mental diversion from banal aspects of daily lives takes us away from our biologically normal natures, and creates a whole new dimension of truth and reality. it is no wonder than the mind craves for the slightest thought of being lifted from the rigor that weighs us down. it is no surprise why people go on vacation and never want to come back.
the trip to phuket was pretty necessary. having to be stuck to a 3x3m or whatever tiny measurement it is cubical/desk every day x an ave of 9-10 hrs a day can seriously trigger the wrong nerves. what more the lack of creativity and the lack of use of the right brain can leave one functioning like a robot before we know it.
so phuket wasn’t as crazy as i expected it, but still fun in a very relaxing way nonetheless. definitely could have had way more partying with more company.
